Regular exercise, no matter the activity, provides many benefits for both mind and body. Activities like tai chi help tone muscles, while clearing mental chatter and improving balance for people of all ages. More intense exercise, even if just on weekends, boosts cardiovascular fitness. This leads to lowered blood pressure and a reduced risk of death from illnesses like colds or the flu. Any movement that gets your body active and heart pumping will provide these perks. Staying active brings lifelong benefits, so find an exercise you enjoy and stick with it!
